Christy Nguyen obtained her B.A. degree in Economics with a minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in May 1996. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in May 2000. While attending law school, Ms. Nguyen was Notes Editor for the Hastings Women's Law Journal and member of the Public Interest Law Foundation. She participated in the Hastings Immigration Law Clinic and volunteered at the Asian Law Caucus Immigration Clinic. She also wrote training manuals for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) and taught naturalization classes for the Asian Law Alliance (ALA). Ms. Nguyen is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
